GSA Announces Appointment of IoT Security Working Group Board of Directors, Chair & Vice Chair – SAN JOSE, Calif., April 3, 2019 – The Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) is pleased to announce the appointment of the Board of Directors, including Chair and Vice Chair, for the GSA IoT Security Working Group.  Marc Canel, Vice President of Security, Arm, will Chair the group, working with Sami Nassar, Vice President of Cybersecurity, NXP, who is taking the Vice Chair role. The other participants of the five-member board are Henry Lee, Senior Vice President of Mobile Security, Samsung Electronics, Tom Katsioulas, Head of Business and Ecosystem for Trusted Silicon and Supply Chain, Mentor/ Siemens, and Shrikant Lohokare, Senior Vice President and Executive Director, GSA. Semiconductor Leaders Say The Internet of Things Is Poised To Propel Industry in 2019:  KPMG Study – SANTA CLARA, Calif. April 2, 2019 – Leaders of semiconductor companies globally ranked Internet of Things (IoT) – the technology powering smart appliances, wearable devices and “smart cities” – as the most important application driving semiconductor revenue over the next year. IoT is expected to supplant wireless communications, last year’s leader, as the key revenue driver, according to the KPMG 2019 Global Semiconductor Industry Outlook from audit, tax and advisory services leader KPMG LLP, in collaboration with the Global Semiconductor Alliance.
